Why make a nomination for an award winner?To nominate a winner for a prestigious IVNA awards is to show recognition for a vet nurse or vet nursing student who has impressed you and who stands out from the crowd. We want to hear from you if you know someone who has gone above and beyond for their patients, clients or practice. Someone who shows compassion, resiliance, understanding, kindness, strength, teamwork and more... Who can I nominate for an award?All nominees for the Veterinary Nurse of the Year Award must work in the Republic of Ireland and be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland. The Student Veterinary Nurse award must be for a current student enrolled in a Veterinary Nursing Programme in one of the 5 VCI accredited courses in the Republic of Ireland.

What prize does the winner receive?The Veterinary Nurse of the Year award winner will receive a cash prize of €750 and a crystal trophy celebrating their achievement. The Student Veterinary Nurse of the Year award winner will receive a €500 cash prize and a crystal trophy celebrating their achievement.

Do I get a prize for nominating someone?Yes! Anyone who submits a winning nomination for an award will receive an All4One gift voucher to the value of €100. The winning nomination is selected by the award sponsor

What type of nominations win prizes?In the past the nomiations which have been chosen are those which go into detail about the nominee and how they have stood out as a worthy recipient. Telling a story of how this person has helped you, or how they have made a difference to you or your pet which makes them shine. All nominations will be submitted to the IVNA board members anonymously through the PR officer. The board will make a judgement and shortlist the nominations which will then be issued to a panel of judges made from the sponsoring company. All nominations are judged anonymously and the winner will only be revealed at the Annual IVNA Congress gala dinner.

What is the closing date for nominations?The closing date for entries is April 30th. We can accept no responsibility for lost or delayed entries. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into relating to this award. The winners of each category will be announced at the Gala Dinner at the IVNA Annual Congress.
